VAN HAM Art Estate offers comprehensive support for artistic estates and bequests.
This is based on the many years of experience of the auction house VAN HAM, which is active in the international art trade. The scientific expertise of the art experts is also incorporated into the work.
Carola van Ham-Eisenbeis (1926-2016), the owner of the VAN HAM auction house founded in Cologne in 1959, showed great interest in documenting the life's work of artists.
The establishment of VAN HAM Art Publications in 2007 by her son Markus Eisenbeis is part of this tradition. The company primarily produces catalogues raisonnés of modern art.
In 2011, the acquisition of the estate of Tata Ronkholz led to the founding of VAN HAM Art Estate by Markus Eisenbeis.
We are now looking after the bequests and estates of Bernd Berner, Karl Fred Dahmen, Friedrich Gräsel, Karl Hofer, Alfonso Hüppi, Jean Leppien, Tata Ronkholz, Bernard Schultze, Ursula Schultze-Bluhm, Sarah Schumann and Brigitte and Martin Matschinksy-Denninghoff.
We also co-operate with the estate of Wolfgang E. Biedermann and the estate of Detlev James Foth.
The aim of pre- and estate management is to effectively preserve the reputation and value of artists in the long term. Together with the heirs, and preferably also with the artists themselves during their lifetime, we develop customised concepts. From consultative planning to organisational implementation and marketing, we handle artists' estates responsibly. In this way, the memory of an artist remains alive for future generations.
